**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for service and warranty schedule maintenance. The incumbent will be results oriented and have the ability to work with-in a fast paced, custom fabrication environment.

**Job Duties & Requirements**:
Experience in repair and maintenance of specific heavy equipment. Specifically, Municipal snow and ice equipment.

Diagnose, repair, and perform general preventative maintenance on Municipal equipment in a shop or at the customer site.

Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and spreader systems, as well as electrical and lighting systems.

Operate equipment for testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting purposes or diagnose using various tools and relative equipment.

Weld and fabricate parts and equipment as required.

Accurate and timely logging of billed time and submission of work orders.

Working knowledge of VCL product lines and options.

Effectively communicates with customers about equipment issues and solutions.

Must be available for on call services and work irregular or at times long hours as required.

Able to work independently and be self-motivated.

Consistently demonstrates a high quality of workmanship and professionalism.

Attention to detail.

Able to multi-task in a face paced environment.

**Valid G driver’s license with clean abstract.**

**Education & Experience**:
High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years mechanical/310T Mechanic experience preferred.
