**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our team. The Sorter will play a crucial role in the efficient processing of materials by ensuring that items are accurately sorted, cleaned, and prepared for further handling. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
**Duties**
- Sort materials and products according to established guidelines and specifications.
- Operate loaders and forklifts to move items as needed within the facility.
- Perform heavy lifting and ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Clean and sanitize work areas regularly to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist in the fabrication of materials when necessary, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Dig and prepare areas for sorting operations as required.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize sorting processes and improve efficiency.
**Qualifications**
- Experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred, including loaders and forklifts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the workspace.
- Previous experience in sorting or warehouse operations is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to sorting processes and equipment operation.
