**Position Summary**

We are looking for Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT) to join our cause to groom the leaders of tomorrow As a private tutor at TeachRequest, you will work with individual grade 1-6 students matching your expertise to help them excel academically and spark a great interest in learning throughout the school year. We will help you manage the operational overhead, so you can fully focus on helping your student learn.

**Responsibilities**
- Complete learning summary after each tutoring session in the TeachRequest system to communicate progress to parents
- Perform student assessment on first tutoring session to determine the assigned student’s needs
- Create individualized, curriculum-based teaching plan for each student based on his or her assessment
- Provide constructive feedback to TeachRequest to drive continuous improvement of our operation
**Qualifications and Skill Requirements**
- Must be an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) in good standing
- Bachelor of Education or Master of Education
- Language and Math for Primary, Junior, and Intermediate Divisions
- Criminal record check report dated within the last 12 months
- Able to provide own transportation to tutoring location of assigned students close to where you live or work
- Will work with students in Greater Toronto Area and surrounding areas

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $25.00-$41.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
**Experience**:

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
- Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)
Licence/Certification:

- Ontario Certified Teacher License (required)
