**Job Purpose**:
Habitat Food Services is a from-scratch kitchen, cooking global cuisine. You will be joining a supportive and passionate team that works together to create delicious food with superior guest service. Our kitchen has an exciting blend of catering and a la carte cooking, offering an environment that will challenge seasoned cooks and provide opportunities for those who are in the early stages of their culinary careers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working as part of a close team to create dishes guests will love while delivering consistent, quality service.
- Prepare receipts, food preparation, and cooking as specified by guest orders.
- Being organized and having everything in its place as to easily respond to orders in timely and efficient manner.
- Working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, tidiness and safety.
- Contributing and participating within a team of positive, high-achievers who care about their guests and the company they are representing.
- Such other and unrelated duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Employer.

**Education, Skills and Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years of kitchen experience, ideally in a catering and events environment.
- Experience with all kitchen equipment and practices, including meat cutting, seafood preparation, grilling, searing, vegetable prep and sauce making.
- Food Safe certification required
- Valid Class 5 drivers license (an asset)
- Ability to closely follow receipts and consistently produce amazing results.
- Has a deep love of food and the belief in its ability to motivate, inspire, educate and entertain.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while always keeping quality top of mind.
- Strong organizational skills, work ethic and team player mentality.
- POS (Point of Sale) experience is valuable.

**Position Details**:The position will work weekdays from Monday to Friday during afternoon shifts (11am start). Flexibility is preferred to be able to work outside of these hours occasionally and as needed.

**Health & Safety**

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
