Stablehand/groom

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Feed and water horses according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
- Clean stalls, paddocks, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Groom and tack up horses for the trainer to work.
- Possible travel to shows during the summer.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in good condition, ensuring they are organized and accessible.
- General maintenance and yard work around the stable as needed.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with horses is mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail in carrying out daily tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Mechanical and carpentry knowledge is an asset
