Reports to: Warehouse & Lumberyard Manager

**Overview of Position**:
The Delivery Helper’s job is to assist the Delivery Driver in delivering products to our customer's jobsites. The Delivery Helper assists in loading the trucks, inspecting the loads, and securing them safely. The Delivery Helper takes products into customer's homes and jobsites and also helps with truck inspections and other tasks assigned by the driver. _**Due to seasonal slowdowns between January and April, there may be potential for temporary staffing adjustments, including possible layoffs.**_

When not gone on delivery, the striker helps serve customers in the warehouse and lumberyard, puts away incoming product, and helps maintain a clean and organized warehouse/lumberyard.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Assist Delivery Driver with loading and unloading materials at the store and on
- customer’s job sites
- Carry products into customer homes
- Double check accuracy of delivery loads
- Picking of delivery orders
- Assist the driver by guiding them backwards when they are backing in or out of a driveway lumberyard/warehouse
- Help customers in the warehouse and lumberyard
- When there are no deliveries to do, you will be assigned other tasks around the
- Work safely and contribute to a safe work culture
- Report any damage to building/equipment immediately
- Inspect forklift before using and operate safely
- Contribute to a culture of friendly and attentive customer service both at the store and on delivery sites
- Communicate professionally over the radio to ensure good service
- Help keep our warehouse, lumberyard, and trucks clean
- Ensure proper garbage/recycling processes followed
- Treat all co-workers with respect
- “Do the right thing” for customers, staff, & the company
- Collaborate with other team members to come up with the best solutions to day-to-day problems
- Strict adherence to the company’s policy and procedures
- Ensure Invoicing procedures followed
- Dress code must be followed.

**Physical Demands**
- Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Able to bend, twist, & reach
- Able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, sun, rain, & snow)

**Schedule**
- Every second weekend off
- Max one evening shift per week (11AM-8PM)
- Weekday shifts are 7AM to 4PM. These occasionally run late when deliveries are busy.
- Saturday 8-5 or 9-6 & Sunday 9:45 to 5

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.70 per hour
