We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Accounting Assistant to add to our team

**Job Summary**:
The Accounting Assistant‘s primary function is to provide support to the Accounting Supervisor, in particular accounts payable, and invoicing, and perform general accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Comprehensive training will be provided upon start.

**Job Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities**:
1. Assist in the development, implementation, training, and documentation of policies and procedures related to the accounting process, reception, and general administration such as telephone system, office supplies, mail, couriers, and filing.

2. Process vendor invoices by matching invoices against receivers, established contracts, or getting approval from the buyer. Resolve invoice discrepancies with the buyer and/or vendor. Enter invoices in AP system.

3. Assist with bi-weekly payroll.

4. Review, post, and process payments for Employee Expense reports.

5. Greeting and directing visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

6. Providing general support to the accounting department.

7. Preparing and processing invoices, sales receipts, and customer payments.

8. Prepare purchase orders for approval and fulfillment.

9. Scanning and filing accounting documents.

10. Performing reconciliations, updating accounts payable and receivable, and issuing invoices.

11. Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries.

12. Maintaining records and ledgers.

13. Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check, and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices.

14. Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries.

15. Preparing deposits and delivering them to banks.

16. Assisting with reviewing records and expenses, among other items as assigned.

17. Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.

18. Ordering basic office supplies.

19. Miscellaneous Data entry as required e.g. inventory.

**Knowledge/Experience**:
At a minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted.
- 1-3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience.
- Proficient in advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties.
- Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
