Vice President Sales - Vendor Financial Services Canada

**What is the opportunity?**

You are a One RBC market leader who leads a best-in-class RCAP sales team to maximize RCAP’s/RBC’s position in the market and bring the best of RCAP/RBC to new and existing vendors & clients via virtual or in person, based on client preference. You are accountable and take ownership for RCAP results in client experience, business performance and employee engagement. You provide coaching and hold your sales team accountable to their mandate, goals and to executing market strategies in their respective markets

**What will you do?**

**Deliver an Exceptional Vendor & Client Experience**
- Demonstrate vendor/client stewardship and care in every decision and activity
- Develop the sales team’s ability to deliver the desired vendor and client experience to both existing and new-to-RCAP vendors/clients
- Ensure sales team proactively plans for and has meaningful contact with every vendor
- Partner with sales leaders across our RBC enterprise
- Promote digital enablement through your team where appropriate
- Take ownership and resolve vendor/client concerns

**Acquire & Deepen Vendor / Client Relationships: Win as One RBC**
- Collaborate with RBC partners to build and execute a strategy to capture market share and accelerate growth, guiding the team to deliver on RBC and regional priorities
- Focus the team on growing client relationships through discovery and documenting client’s goals and opportunities
- Build strong product acumen within the team that translates into advice-based recommendations for a range of product/service solutions and cross partnering activities
- Collaborate in strategic planning sessions with in-market sales partners to plan vendor and market activities to win as One RBC
- Coach team to balance relationship building while pricing products and services to win and maintain profitable business

**Execution Excellence**
- Follow and coach to Practice Management playbooks for sales routines, market and portfolio planning, and vendor interactions to succeed as a team
- Coach team to consistently use CRM tools to identify opportunities, document and plan interactions in CRM (SCM, or Client360)
- Leverage AMBIT and CRM (contact management systems) for insight into individual performance and coach to move sales opportunities forward and close business
- Monitor and review activities and outcomes bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly to identify items to refine and celebrate successes. Proactively prepare for coaching meetings and reviews

**Attract, Develop & Enable the Best Talent**
- Lead with a growth mindset, focusing on what’s possible to acquire and develop talent and deliver an exceptional client experience by holding your team accountable to consistently use various client relationship tools
- Create a coaching culture and an environment committed to continuous learning and development; effectively lead change management initiatives
- Conduct performance management discussions with all direct reports to provide feedback on their performance against mandate.

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**:

- Minimum of 5 years of proven B2B sales experience
- Direct or indirect vendor financing/leasing experience is required
- Credit structuring experience for businesses
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge in small to mid-size vendors in Diversified markets, i.e. examples of markets we serve include: Office Equipment, Technology & Telecommunications Information Technology & Software Manufacturing Equipment, Material Handling/Forklifts, Industrial Equipment
- Advance customer service, selling, and negotiation skills
- Proficient with Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel
