You are a Carpenter with 3+ years residential and/or commercial construction experience. You are comfortable working with mínimal supervision, being part of a crew and ensuring construction deadlines are met. You are punctual and take pride in the quality of your work.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate leadership in overall compliance of Simba Investments’ health, safety, and environmental standards daily
- Plan and prioritize work to meet contractual deadlines
- Comprehends blueprint readings to prepare layouts including selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, measuring and marking materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions
- Understands basic commercial concrete forming including engineered forming systems and general commercial construction practices to lead crews and accurately build concrete forms, scaffolding, shelters, and other structures
- Works with and/or leads on-site crew to ensure tasks are completed safely, correctly, and on schedule
- Checks completed work to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
- Understands and contributes to the adherence to the project schedule within a specific area of responsibility
- Reports to the Superintendent and/or Foreman any problems or unforeseen issues that could affect the project plan
- Complete daily paperwork and partake in daily toolbox talks

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3+ years’ related project experience
- Red Seal in Carpentry is an asset

Current First Aid certificate is an asset.
- Experience in Residential and/or Commercial construction
- Must hold a Valid Class 5 B.C. Drivers License, experience in towing/hauling an asset but not required

Work Conditions
- Typical 5 days a week, 6 days when required
- Work will primarily be outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be comfortable working at heights
