**General Summary.**

The Supervisor, Accounting will be responsible for the supervision of the accounting staff, analyzing inventory, revenue and intercompany accounting as well as the review of journal entries in conjunction with the monthly close process.

**This position will be responsible for..**

Supervises at least 2 full-time direct reports. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to recommending hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including terminations. Supervises lower level Accountants, which includes reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations. Reconciles intercompany accounts on a monthly basis. Monitors inventory transactions and reconciles inventory accounts to the general ledger. Prepares journal entries as needed and prepares excess and obsolescence data. Develops inventory analysis reports and analyzes variances. Responsible for revenue accounting. Analyzes contracts for fulfillment of billing, payment and revenue recognition requirements. Analyzes and prepares general ledger account reconciliations. Assists in the preparation of the monthly internal reporting package. Prepares other miscellaneous analyses and completes special projects as assigned.

**Education/Experience**

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred and 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and 7 years of relevant experience. Computer literacy at a high level to include Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, etc. Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment with tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service driven. Strong team player. Possesses in depth knowledge of revenue and deferred revenue accounting principles.
