Since 2009, Happy Hounds has served Halifax by offering premium doggy daycare, grooming and overnight boarding. Locally owned and operated, we are quickly growing and striving to be the best in the HRM.

**Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise several groups of dogs at a time while maintaining a safe environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of the dogs, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with maintaining a clean environment. This includes cleaning up excrement and other pet messes, when they occur.
- Provide pleasant customer service to pet parents. Communicate effectively and provide information to our customers.
- Heavy Lifting, up to 50lbs and physically active work.

**Qualifications**
- A genuine compassion for animals.
- Strong customer service skills, with effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects or equipment as needed.
- Ability and desire to work well in a team.
- Previous experience in pet care or related fields is a plus, but not required.
- Reliable and responsible attitude.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
