Today, we have over 200 team members, 3 facilities and are continuing our mission to enrich the lives of our customers with every baked good. Portofino Bakery is part of Bond Bakery Brands, a stakeholder-focused investment platform started by three friends, and includes Pace Processing & Product Development, Holy Napoli and Coco Bakery. Together, we are building better bakeries. **The Bread and Butter of the Position** - Assembling orders for delivery as per provided company order sheets - Assembling products in a neat and organized fashion to ensure that products will reach the customer undamaged - Loading, unloading and organizing of finished bakery products from our bakery to our warehouse several times per day (approx. a 2 km drive) using our 5 ton and 1 ton trucks - Maintaining excellent warehouse organization by storing all items in designated spots including the freezer - Prepare daily freezer product required and pull and date stamp the products - Print and organize route delivery paperwork for daily build - Tracking and recording products as per company policies - Documenting any damaged, unlabeled, unpresentable or missing products - Ensuring all product is properly packaged, labelled and presentable for customers - Complete all administrative duties and paperwork as assigned - Operating pallet jacks and forklifts as per company practices and safety procedures - Supporting our operations by maintaining excellent warehouse organization and working with the Warehouse Team and Packaging Teams to ensure all time goals are met - Completing all administrative tasks, including, but not limited to tracking and recording quantities in a transfer log - Delivering internal company supplies between facilities (e.g. equipment, tools, supplies etc.) - Assist with shared janitorial duties with the rest of the Warehouse Team - Other duties as assigned - including production tasks as needed **The Ingredients You Bring to the Table** - Previous driving experience - bonus points for commercial driving experience - A class 5 driver’s license - A clean driver’s abstract from the past 5 years, with no major infractions - The ability to lift up to 50lbs - Forklift experience is considered an asset - Computer experience (Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel preferred) - Strong verbal communication skills - Strong time management skills - The ability to work independently, as well as in a team cooperatively - The ability to work on your feet for extended periods - The ability to work in a clean, organized manner - The ability to pivot from task to task as priorities change - A willingness to learn and grow - A commitment to upholding company policies, compliance and quality standards - A commitment to punctuality and reliability, showing up to shifts on time and ready to work - Previous experience in a warehouse environment is considered an asset **The Details You’ll Loave**: - Starting wage: $21.00/hour + $4.00 night premium. - Schedule: Monday-Friday - 11:30 pm-8:00 am - This is a full-time permanent position - Healthy and frequent raises - Annual bonuses based on performance metrics - Medical & Dental benefits including Life Insurance after 3 months - Access to complementary "staff bread" to take home - Annual Footwear Allowance - Opportunity for advancement - Paid Training - Comprehensive Wellness and Leadership Development Program - Uniform Provided **Our Values and What We Expect From Our Bread Head Team Members**: - **Integrity**_ We keep it real — in the way we treat our customers, in the way we speak with one another, in the way we walk our safety talk, and in the way we make our products.
