Designated Early Childhood Educator

Under the direction of the Principal and/or designate, the Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) will cooperate with the classroom teacher and other resources and support services staff to set-up, plan for and provide a Catholic Education for all pupils and will implement the Full Day Kindergarten Program by planning, developing and delivering daily play-based learning opportunities that support and promote the holistic development of children - spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically, with particular attention to individual student's diverse needs, strengths, interests and stages of development. The Designated Early Childhood Educator will observe, monitor and assess the development of all pupils to maintain a healthy physical, emotional, social and spiritual learning environment and will communicate these observations to parents. Will perform all duties as assigned by the Principal and/or designate with respect to the Full Day Kindergarten Program, in accordance with the Education Act and the Mission of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board.
