Nichol Marine is a small local company that works up and down the Island and adjacent Gulf Islands. Nichol Marine has been providing marine construction and repair services to Vancouver Island for over fifteen years. We specialize in residential and commercial marine contracting, including docks, aluminum ramps, approaches, boardwalks, floatation systems, boathouses, and full electrical services. We are a locally owned and operated company with over 25 years experience in the marine industry.
We are looking for a full time labourer to join our team. The right person will be able and motivated to work alone and in a team setting. Able to take direction and be confident in the job being done. Have some flexibility on the scope and location of the work. Come and join our workplace with a view. You will spend a lot of time working on the water, Cowichan Lake and Sprout Lake to name a few.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Prepping the trucks and trailers for upcoming jobs (ie making sure all necessary tools and supplies are loaded)
Assisting with building and installing marine access systems. Including aluminum ramps and wood floats.
Picking up material
Moving material and equipment from our yard to jobsite
Yard clean up
General shop help
What we have to offer:
Competitive wages based on experience ($25-$35/hour)
