The Opportunity

Our growing practice in our **Lethbridge office** requires an **Associate Lawyer** with experience in **Family Law and Civil Litigation** to continue our tradition of providing exceptional service on behalf of our clients.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum **1-5 years’ experience** (3+ years preferred) in family law and civil litigation (including divorce, separation, parenting and custody matters, estates litigation, and general litigation).
- Law degree from an accredited Canadian law school (or equivalent) and member in good standing with a provincial law society.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Highly focused with attention to detail; a motivated self-starter.
- Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Experience with and ability to handle files from initial consultations through to resolution, including settlement negotiations, mediation, and trial.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and client needs.
- Draft and review pleadings, agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in negotiation, mediation, and court proceedings.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records, adhering to deadlines and professional standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to provide advice and updates.
