**Overview**

**Career opportunity description**

Knight Signs is seeking a dynamic and motivated **Production Artist **who will work closely with sales and production teams to prepare concepts and design signage solutions for different projects.
- Utilize client specifications or creative approach to produce innovative environmental signage.
- Review final layout and suggest improvements
- Prepare message schedule including paint guides and notes for manufacturing submission
- Review and make good for all aspects of the production art before issuing to production
- Occasionally check on job progression in production to see if guidelines are followed
- Liaise with Manager and Production Manager when questions or issues arise
- Provide documentation, detailed instruction, drawings and specification and notes for fabrication and installation requirements
- Follow & adhere to all safety procedures & regulations, report unsafe conditions

Technical Review
- Participate in technical art review meeting to present draft of proposed sign prior to beginning production.
- Review graphics, layout and fabrication design techniques
- Attend take off meetings on large projects
- Take responsibility for juggling a hectic portfolio of art and design projects to meet tight client and manufacturing deadlines.
- Work closely with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure designs are technically and esthetically accurate.

- Precise proof reading abilities with an eye for perfection
- Artistic, creative and have a strong eye for detail
- Manufacturing methodologies or techniques preferable
- Knowledgeable about the effective use of topography, color and visual & environmental space
- Effective communications skills, with the ability to listen and persuade.
- Good time management skills
- Analytical thinking with very good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Takes initiative, strong work ethic, can execute and gets things done Persuasive and logical approach to making others understand vision and concept
- Able to work independently or within a team environment
- Clear and concise English language abilities, both written and verbal
