**Position Description**:
The Patient Care Information Coordinator will be responsible for providing a high level of support and assistance to the Cardiology Inpatient Department. They will support the operation of the team/unit by providing clerical and administrative functions in a proactive and organized manner.

**Here's What You'll Get To Do**:

- Prepare and Reconcile payroll for the Cardiology Inpatient Unit.
- Provide assistance in sourcing additional nursing and clerical staff coverage to replace unexpected scheduling gaps.
- Take part in interview process and on-boarding new clerical hires.
- Support the clerical staff/provide coverage as required.
- Create and maintain clerical schedules for the clerical team.
- Ordering and procurement of supplies and specialized products for the inpatient cluster.
- Support Clinical Staff in organizing and storing supplies/equipment that are utilized in the unit, while remaining fiscally responsible.
- Ensuring P-Card invoices are paid in a timely manner.
- Answer phone calls and respond to requests for information from families and healthcare staff.
- Coordinate unit administrative functions to ensure efficient operation of the unit, within scope of authority.
- Collaborate with unit manager on relevant patient care projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Here's What You'll Need**:

- Diploma from a recognized Medical Administration program preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years clerical or administrative experience in a health care setting. Experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
- Experience with Epic preferred.
- Payroll and Scheduling experience is essential and medical terminology is an asset.
- Strong computer skills are required including demonstrated experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent problem-solving skills that demonstrate an ability to anticipate potential issues and make suggestions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with both fellow colleagues and patients.
- Ability to remain focused and prioritize tasks in a busy and high stress environment.
- Dependability and excellent attendance are required.
- Ability to be self-directed, to be flexible and to take initiative.
- Attention to detail and efficient time management.

Permanent Full-time; Day shift 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday
