Summer Parks Labourer

We are looking for four applicants to start May 5, 2025 - August 29, 2025. This is a temporary full-time position which may require occasional work in the evening and weekend.

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Parks & Recreation Foreman, the Parks Labourer is a member of the Parks & Recreation Team. The primary focus of the Parks Labourer is customer service, supporting the Parks & Recreation team with operations such as facility cleaning and maintenance, operation of handheld equipment, cutting and edging grass, laborious tasks such as landscaping and grounds maintenance, painting, maintenance of equipment, and other duties as required.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Exceptional written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to think logically and analytically and constructively express ideas and concepts
- A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability

**Other Requirements**:

- Ability to identify issues that require notification of supervisor
- Ability to make independent decisions that do not require further input from the supervisor

Check and Driver’s Abstract as a condition of employment

**Required Education**:

- High school or equivalent
- Applicants must be returning to post secondary studies in the Fall

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
