Bilingual Order Fulfillment Associate - Mandarin (Part-Time)

**Location**: 145-3231 No 6 Rd, Richmond, BC V6V 1P6
**Schedule**: Part-time, up to 22.5 hours per week. Primarily Monday to Friday during business hours, with infrequent evening/weekend coverage as needed.
**Work Mix**: Approximately 70% warehouse order processing/packing and product handling; 30% customer service and computer-based work.

Our Richmond, BC branch is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented **Bilingual Order Fulfillment Associate** who is fluent in **Mandarin and English**. This role is primarily hands-on in the warehouse, focused on **picking, packing, and preparing orders**, with a customer-facing component to support **order pickup** and basic inquiries.

**Position Summary**

You will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and packed securely for pickup. You will also support customers at the counter during pickups by confirming orders, answering basic questions, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience. This is an operational role that demands accuracy, consistency, and comfort working on your feet in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

**Order Processing & Fulfillment (Primary Focus)**

Pick and assemble orders accurately based on order slips/system instructions.

Pack and label orders securely and professionally for customer pickup.

Verify item counts, product condition, and order accuracy before staging orders.

Stage completed orders in the correct pickup area using established processes.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packing and staging workspace.

**Warehouse Product Handling & Inventory Support**

Receive incoming product deliveries; verify quantities and inspect for damage.

Stock shelves and organize inventory so products are accessible and properly labeled.

Support cycle counts and basic inventory checks; report discrepancies to the supervisor.

Follow warehouse procedures for product rotation, storage, and handling requirements.

**Customer Pickup Support & Basic Service (Secondary Focus)**
- Welcome walk-in customers and assist with **order pickup**, including verification and hand-off.
- Answer basic product/order questions in Mandarin and English and escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Maintain a professional, calm service approach during busy periods.

**Computer-Based & Administrative Tasks**
- Process and confirm orders in the internal system with strong attention to detail.
- Update customer records as needed for pickup completion and order tracking.
- Maintain accurate logs or checklists related to fulfillment and pickup workflows.

QualificationsLanguage Requirements
- Fluency in **Mandarin and English** (verbal and written).

**Education & Experience**
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 1-2 years of experience in order fulfillment, warehouse work, retail operations, or customer service (preferred).

**Skills & Competencies**

Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy in picking and packing.

Comfortable with repetitive tasks and maintaining pace during high-volume periods.

Basic computer proficiency (MS Office and ability to learn order/inventory systems).

Professional communication style and customer-first mindset.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.

Ability to lift and move boxes/products as required by daily operations.
