Speech-language Pathologist Assistant

This position is perfect for those with a background in/goals toward a career in speech-language pathology, education, psychology, social services, rehabilitation sciences, and the like.
Clients range from 3-18 years of age and live from Chilliwack to Richmond and every city in between. However, there is an emphasis on individuals who can work in the Tri-Cities (Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody), Surrey, and Langley.
Compensation:
$30 per hour, increasing to $35 per hour after the first 3-month probationary period, with opportunities for raises every 6 months thereafter. Pay scale is based on experience. Mileage is paid at $0.61/km.
Qualifications:
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistants Certification (C-SLPA)
- Energetic, punctual, patient, and interested in supporting growth in children
- Have strong communication and play skills
- Able to commit to the position for at least 6 months
- Having your own vehicle is an asset
- Bi
- or multi-lingual an asset
- Have their own piece of technology
- Follow Speech Plans and programs
- Bring a bag of toys to sessions
- Attend meetings and professional development workshops
- Work with team members and collaborate with other consultants and professionals
Please note, due to COVID regulations and the nature of this work, service providers will not be able to wear masks unless they are see-through so their mouths and facial expressions are visible.

Part-time hours: 5-20 per week
**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
