**Position Summary**:

- **Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager**:_
- To deliver all exchange carts or clinical orders.
- To collect all soiled linen either from chute rooms or from nursing floors.

**The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for all or some the following duties within the home**:

- Responsible to Environment al Supervisor for the washing and ironing of Resident Laundry.
- Accounts for all laundry.
- Monitors the state of cleanliness and repair of all laundry items.
- Responsible to the Environment Supervisor for the Home Linen Inventory.
- Arranges for the dry cleaning of all non-washable articles of Residents’ clothing.
- Provide appropriate linen to nursing floors in correct quantities and on time.
- Count all linen items on carts to ensure proper quantities.
- Know the names of all linen items.
- Assist in unloading exchange carts from laundry delivery truck.
- Assist in loading returning exchange carts on to the laundry delivery truck.
- Conduct rounds throughout the hospital to collect all soiled linen from chute rooms and from unit floors.
- Bring all full soiled bins to the soiled collection area.
- Delivery of all exchange carts to the appropriate units.
- Deliver all clean linen for clinical deliveries as scheduled.
- Delivery of any emergency linen throughout the hospital.
- Any other duties as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Experienced in Laundry and Dry Cleaning work.
- Ability to evaluate clothing regarding washable and non-washable items.
- Speaks and writes fluent English, Greek as a second language would be advantageous but not necessary.
- Neat appearance, pleasant personality and awareness of importance of communication.
- Kind, honest and enjoys working with seniors.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $20.59-$21.81 per hour
