**About the Role**:
eHealth Saskatchewan is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Analyst to join the team and assist in the support of IT services that eHealth provides to health partners across Saskatchewan. This individual will possess excellent customer service skills along with strong technical and leadership abilities, be detailed oriented, take pride in their work and enjoy the challenges that go with it.
**What are we looking for?**
We are seeking a skilled Unix/Linux Infrastructure Analyst II to join the team and assist in the support of IT services that eHealth provides to the Health Regions across Saskatchewan. The role is technology driven and will require technical knowledge in a vast set of tools and infrastructure knowledge.
Reporting to the Datacenter Infrastructure Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support eHealth’s Unix/Linux environment. This includes managing current state and assisting with solution design of future state. You will participate in creating and managing the work plans and process documentation as it relates to endpoint management. Other responsibilities include preparing status reports and managing issue escalations.
**To qualify for this position you will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following areas**:
- Experience with Linux, preferably Red Hat, and/or any other Linux distributions.
- Knowledge of various services i.e DNS, DHCP, NTP, Kerberos, SSHD, PXE, SFTP, HTTPD and Docker.
- Knowledge of various enterprise server hardware models [blades, rackmount, and standalone].
- Good understanding of Clustering, Virtualization, NAS, NFS and SAN
- Good understanding of configuration management tools e.g. Red Hat Satellite servers, Quattor, Puppet and Chef.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Available for on-call (1 week out of every 4-6 weeks)
- Ability to work in a global distributed team.
**Knowledge or experience in the following areas would be an asset for this position**:
- Experience with troubleshooting incidents involving compute and storage related problems [SAN, NAS]
- Experience with analyzing and diagnosing kernel carsh/core dumps and network packet captures
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols and peripherals.
- Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and tune the system parameters to provide more throughput.
- Intermediate knowledge of complex scripts using KSH, Bash, Perl, Python etc.
- Good understanding and knowledge of Load Balancing, High Availability and BCP.
- Configuration and Management of HA and DR capabilities in Unix/Linux environments.
- Performance tuning, alerting & monitoring, server configuration.
- Implement and utilize the Release and Change Management as well as other ITIL processes.
Foundational knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through the completion of post-secondary degree or diploma related to Information Technology. In addition, you will have at least 5 years of experience working in an enterprise class IT environment.
