We are currently seeking a Manager of Roads and Bridges for the Sunshine Coast area to join our team in a permanent role.

You are responsible for managing road and highway operations in the Sechelt area (Port Mellon to Earls Cove including multiple islands). We are looking for an energetic individual working collaboratively with the management team and other partner companies under the direction of the Regional Manager.

*Duties*
- Managing and leading a highway maintenance operation including emergency response projects, winter maintenance, asphalt rehabilitation and other related projects and activities
- Implement quality control measures to ensure work meets industry standards
- Manage project budgets and expenses effectively
- Providing work plans and scope, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Leading a team of employees to achieve the goals and objectives of our clients
- Promote working safely by following our Safety Program, WorkSafe BC and other regulatory requirements to achieve a safe work site

*Skills*
- Strong background in highway maintenance, construction and project management
- Proficiency in quality control practices
- Budgeting skills to manage project finances effectively
- Engaging in business/relationship development and client liaison activities
- Providing mentoring, coaching and technical guidance to employees and supervisors to ensure compliance of all work.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience in highway construction/maintenance or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with air endorsement (Class 3 preferred)
- Must reside or be willing to re-locate to the Sunshine Coast
- Supervisory experience including managing people and projects
- Experience in supervising operational teams
- Knowledgeable and competent with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to conduct construction estimating accurately
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
