**Overview**:
We are seeking a dynamic Community Manager to join our team. As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing relationships within our community to drive engagement and growth.
**Duties**:
- Implement communications strategies and programs: Develop and implement strategies to grow Woveo’s community clients in Scarborough, leveraging local networks and partnerships.
- Manage contracts: Maintain relations on behalf of Woveo with community leaders, organizations, and members to promote Woveo’s group savings and credit solutions.
- Develop all kinds of events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes: Organize and participate in community events and forums to raise awareness and drive the adoption of Woveo’s services.
- Direct and evaluate departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs: Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to inform product improvements and refine acquisition channels and strategies.
- Evaluate communication strategies and programs: Monitor and report on community engagement metrics and outcomes, aligning efforts with Woveo’s strategic goals.
- Publicize activities, workshops, meetings and other events for information purposes: Plan, direct, and evaluate advertising campaigns and the associated activities to promote and highlight community clients.
- Develop partnerships: Create and develop strong relationships with community leaders.
- Develop communications strategies: Identify and develop solutions for communities based on the unique needs and pain points of their members.
- Publicize activities, workshops, meetings and other events for information purposes: Hold community sessions/town halls for demonstrations and company presentations.
**Skills And Requierments**:
- A university degree or college diploma in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field, and several years of experience in an advertising, public relations, or communications officer position or in a related occupation.
- Experience in community facilitation, developing and nurturing relationships with community leaders and individual members.
- Experience working with minority and marginalized demographics toward economic development and financial well-being.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written in English to effectively convey Woveo's mission, values, and services to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, executing, and managing projects, including community events and campaigns.
- Experience working with Immigrant and refugee populations.
- Language skills relevant to working with immigrant and refugee populations would be an asset.
- Experience working and collaborating with not-for-profit organizations to drive collaborative projects and shared work.
- Flexibility with working hours to accommodate evenings, weekends, and holidays
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
