Cook/cashier

*Job Summary*

*Responsibilities*

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
• Cook food in various utensils or grillers
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Monitor stock and let management know when there are shortages
• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions with customers
• Scan goods and collect payments
• Attend deli counter by slicing and weighing out deli meats
• Attend ice cream counter
• Issue receipts, change, or tickets
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area
• Keep reports of transactions

*Experience*

• Proven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Familiarity with food safety regulations
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Excellent time management skills
• Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Strong upselling skills to promote products or services
• Excellent phone etiquette for customer inquiries
• Ability to sell products effectively
• Good grasp of basic math for accurate transactions
• Conduct product demonstrations when required
• Experience in cashiering or related roles preferred
• Proficient in cash handling procedures

Pay: $15.70 per hour
