Tempering Operator

Aluminum Window Designs, a member of The Window Design Group, was established in 1991 to fabricate commercial and residential thermally aluminum window products for high-rise new construction and the renovation industry.

Thanks to our on-going marketplace research, AWD products can be custom-designed to meet supplied specifications on a per project basis. Our wide range of products includes: thermal aluminum windows and window wall systems, swing doors, sliding balcony doors, and steel insulated aluminum framed doors, the Euro Door, aluminum glass balcony doors, sliding, awning and casement windows. AWD also manufactures insulated glass and insulated panels used in its windows.

We are looking for a Tempering Operator for a weekend shift.

Schedule will be Friday
- Sunday, 6:30am-8:00pm

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Operate and program the tempering machine/ line using the control systems.
- Monitor the flow of the product to ensure the requirements are followed.
- Update reports regarding production targets and status of orders.
- Clean and maintain the machine to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure sufficient supply of materials required are available for production schedule.
- Establish proper glass feeding procedure based on the demand.
- Perform quality control procedures to maintain company standards.
- Record manufacturing specifications for quantity, size and type of product.
- Prepare products for the next step of process (cutting, painting, or shipping).
- Follow health and safety guidelines and policies.
- Ensure proper glass handling procedures are followed.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- 2+ Years of experience working with glass.
- Experience working in window manufacturing considered an asset.
- Work experience in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50+lbs.
