**Give and Take Tree Service** is looking for an experienced Climber/Faller to join the team. Give and Take Tree Service has been around since 2013. We are a well established residential and commercial tree service company providing work around the Lower Mainland, based out of Maple Ridge.
**We are looking for an experienced Climber / Faller and Crew Leader**. You will lead a team to a variety of jobs and sites, ensuring the job is done safely, efficiently and accurately per the customer’s wishes and best practice standards.. You will provide instructions and guidance to the team, creating a close knit and positive team environment. You are the main point of contact for our clients on the job and will require excellent customer service and communication skills.
Jobs are varied and range from falling dangerous trees, to crane work, rigging, bucket truck work, hedges, emergency work and all things in between.

Certified Arborist is an asset but not a necessity. We will encourage your desire to learn and/or study towards a CA or CUA.
**Responsibilities**:
- Demonstrate high safety standards, equipment inspection skills, proper climbing techniques and procedures, proper pruning and tree removal skills, and proper rigging skills.
- Learn, understand, abide by, educate and enforce all safety rules, industry and company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively and positively with crews and customers.
- Safely and efficiently lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
- Direct crew members and equipment, as well as planning and executing the assigned work and tasks.
- Responsible for supervising and assisting in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
- Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients. Including but not limited to:
- Climbing, falling, rigging, and crane work.
- Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
- Removal of hazardous trees.
- Provide expert tree trimming services and inspections to client properties.
- Manage customer service expectations.
**Qualifications, Skills and Abilities**
- At least 1 year of climbing and bucket operation experience in the tree care industry.
- A current driver’s license or Class 5 is required. Airbrakes endorsement preferred but not mandatory.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the crew and management.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a team environment.
- A great attitude
- Experience working outdoors in all kinds of weather.
- Education in the field is an asset but not a necessity.
- ISA Arborist Certification is an asset but not a necessity.

**Salary**: $25.00-$38.00 per hour
