Advisors will get to know members with a focus on advising and guiding them to achieve their individual financial goals at every life stage.
The Personal Financial Advisor is a hybrid role responsible for delivering seamless member service and advice to each member to ensure their needs are met within one visit to the financial advice centre. The Personal Financial Advisor will utilize new and innovate technologies, approaches and solutions to meet the members needs while educating the member along the way. The Personal Financial Advisor will work in the concept financial advice centre and is a true team player whose desire of wanting to deliver on ACU’s purpose of Money Doing More is proven through the achievement of goals and key performance indicators that support ACU’s operational success.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Embraces an environment of innovation, change and constant re-iterations to test new ideas, concepts and technologies. Provides feedback as required
- Active member of Concept Financial Advice Centre activities including but not limited to identifying change opportunities and championing initiatives
- Provides feedback and recommendations on all procedures, products and technology being utilized in the financial advice centre
- Integrates ACU’s Mission, Vision and Values into all business interactions
- Versatile and flexible in utilizing multiple approaches, processes and technologies at one time
- Create positive member experiences with a focus on relationship banking to identify and generate new business and retain existing business, with a focus on increasing share of wallet.
- Utilizes a holistic approach in creating solutions that support the members immediate and future financial needs
- Performs effective lobby management ensuring all members are greeted by a member of the Financial Advice Centre in a timely manner
- Delivers seamless member service on all member transactions including but not limited to processing deposits, withdrawals, loan and utility payments, money orders, credit card advances and cheque cashing
- Provide a positive member experience by advising and, guiding the achievement of their financial goals by providing a full range of credit union products and services: new personal, business and community accounts and memberships, consumer loans, lines of credits, small business loans, mortgages, investment products (GIC’s, RSP, RESP, TFSA, RIF), credit cards and estates
- Responsible for contributing towards the financial advice centres overall advice and service delivery strategy by educating and assisting members on digital and technological solutions, appropriately directing and referring members, handling day-to-day transactions and monitoring the flow of members within the branch.
- Participating in opening and closing duties including the vault and self-service kiosks as required
- Dedicated to working as a cohesive team with other members of the advice centre to ensure seamless member service.
- Addresses member concerns with effective solutions to ensure a positive member experience. Escalates when necessary.
- Interprets and understanding operating procedures ,ensuring that policies and guidelines are adhered to
- Accountable for maintaining current and relevant knowledge of industry trends, competitor products and strategies.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education and Experience**
This position requires a self-starter who thrives in working in a team environment with a common goal/purpose. The competencies of this position are typically required through 3-5 years in a financial institution or an equivalent combination of both education and experience.
