**Job Overview**
**Duties and Repsonsibilities**
- Efficiently and effectively dismantle vehicles of all makes and models in a timely manner while following strict safety and environment procedures and guidelines.
- Work together with the Inventory Manager to determine a vehicle dismantling plan.
- Inspect parts for damage or wear and recognize parts that are damaged/broken or in need of repair.
- Perform high-level testing and quality control measures on all parts prior to stocking.
- Organize and categorize dismantled parts for reuse or recycling.
- Dismantle/Recycle vehicles and parts based on above average industry standards - requires a familiarity with Canadian Automotive Recyclers Environmental Code (CAREC), and GOLD SEAL member standards of Automotive Recycler’s of Canada (ARC).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all Occupational Health and Safety standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to improve dismantling processes and efficiency.
**What are we looking for in you?**
- You must have a strong mechanical aptitude and have prior mechanical experience.
- You must be self-disciplined, goal-oriented, able to manage your time effectively to meet time sensitive deadlines and work independently with little to no supervision.
- You must be able to follow detailed instructions and work both independently and in a team environment.
- You must be a team player and willing to assist with other duties as required.
- You must have good physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting or standing for extended periods.
- You must have good interpersonal skills, be reliable, dependable and trustworthy.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
- You must have experience in the automotive industry, working with automotive tools and equipment. Previous experience working within the automotive recycling industry is considered an asset.
- A High School Diploma and any additional licenses and qualifications will be considered an asset.
- You must be able to safely lift a minimum of 23kg (50lbs).
- You must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check and a minimum of three successful reference checks.
- You must have your own tools.
**Wage**
Hourly rate of $18 to start based on a 40 hour work week. The starting wage is highly negotiable and wages will be adjusted accordingly with experience and qualifications. Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
