Your Opportunity:
Description:
As a Mental Health Aide, you will work as a collaborative member of the multidisciplinary team to provide a welcoming and safe care environment. You will assist in the provision of direct patient/client care as delegated in a person-centered, recovery oriented and safe manner. In this position, you will assist and / or promote independence to patients/clients in completing activities of daily living as well as assisting other health professionals with providing treatments and observing and reporting relevant patient/client information to professional staff. You will assist new patients/clients and families with orientation, and assist in the general support of the work area.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of Grade 12. A combination of education and experience satisfactory to the employer will also be considered.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Completion of Health Care Aide or equivalent. Must retain current registration with Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Minimum 1 year experience as a Health Care/Mental Health Aide in a mental health setting within the last 3 years. Suicide Risk Management training. Current (within the last 2 years) Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI). Provincial Concurrent Capable Learning Series - MyLearningLink Module.
