**Job Title: In-Person Economics/Quantitative Methods Tutor - QUA0003 (Algonquin College)**

TutorCraft is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable tutor to support students enrolled in QUA0003 - _Quantitative Methods I_ at Algonquin College. This course integrates core concepts of business statistics, decision theory, time series forecasting, and Excel-based quantitative analysis. Tutoring will take place in person in Ottawa.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for QUA0003 students
- Break down complex topics such as:

- Measures of central tendency and dispersion (mean, variance, standard deviation)
- Probability distributions (binomial, Poisson, hypergeometric)
- Statistical decision theory (expected value, opportunity loss, Bayes’ law)
- Time series analysis and forecasting using Excel
- Assist students with Excel assignments and lab activities
- Reinforce concepts using practice problems and course materials
- Monitor student progress and adjust tutoring approach as needed
- Support academic integrity and encourage good study habits

**Requirements**:

- Strong background in Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel functions and statistical tools
- Ability to clearly explain abstract mathematical concepts in a student-friendly manner
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
- Must be able to attend in-person sessions at or near Algonquin College
- Reliable, communicative, and professional

**About the Course**:
QUA0003 introduces students to mathematical methods for business decision-making. It is a core course in various business programs at Algonquin College, and covers both theoretical understanding and applied skills using Excel software.

Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
