**Co-op student opportunity (8 months)**
We are currently seeking a curious thinker who is driven to explore emerging ideas and dive into projects underway. This collaborative Student will join our team as a co-op student in the
**Strategy, Project Management & Change. **This position reports to the Director, Strategy, Project Management & Change and supports their work on long-term strategic planning, annual and multi-year business planning, project management and enterprise change. This work defines our enterprise strategy and prioritizes operational activities in support of our modernization mandate.

**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct research, including jurisdictional scans, on current and long-term perspectives
- Prepare briefings, as required, based on government announcements, the review of research results, identification of trends and best practices
- Identify, analyze and report on developments in the energy sector that could impact the organization's strategic objectives and performance
- Supporting status reporting, issues and risk management and change control procedures following established policies and procedures
- Scheduling, coordinating and participating in meetings and events, collecting and distributing relevant materials, taking detailed meeting minutes and highlighting and following up on action items
- Assisting in the preparation of clear and effective communications to project teams and/or stakeholders involved in planning
- Performing cross-functional tasks and/or other project-related duties as required (copyediting, document management and quality assurance, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Motivated to work independently within a team environment
- Analytical and critical thinker
- Resourceful and creative problem solver
- Enrollment in a post-secondary Business, Public Policy, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or Engineering, program preferred
- Experience with Microsoft programs
