Are you a skilled and passionate cook looking to join a dynamic team in a culinary environment? We are seeking a dedicated individual to help prepare high-quality meals and contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen.

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to recipes, portion, arrange, and package dishes while meeting daily production targets and maintaining quality standards
- Use various methods such as baking, roasting, and steaming to prepare meats, vegetables, and other foods, ensuring even cooking, proper seasoning, and presentation
- Maintain sanitary food-handling practices, ensure correct storage and cooking temperatures, inspect ingredients for freshness, and operate and clean kitchen equipment as required
- Assist with food prep during off-peak times, support junior staff, collaborate with team members to meet goals, and adhere to kitchen policies and procedures
- Monitor food inventory, ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO), and maintain records for quality and efficiency
- Attend team meetings, suggest improvements, and assist with kitchen closing and during high-demand periods or emergencies

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of culinary practices, food safety, and dietary needs.
- Proficient in food preparation, knife handling, and equipment use.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork in fast-paced settings.
- Education: High School diploma required; culinary degree and Food Safe Level 1 preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years as a cook, ideally in food processing.
- Valid Work Permit
