Preference will be given to individuals who are certified or are currently enrolled/_willing _to enroll in the _Food Service Workers _from a recognized institution; and/or have successfully completed their Food Handlers Certificate from Public Health Unit and is current; Full Covid Vaccination (minimum 3). Police check and TB testing required.

**_STUDENT Friendly _**(18+ only require Public Health Food Handler Certificate)
- **_DUTIES _**include: setting/clearing dining tables, portioning food selections from steamtable for residents as outlined; preparing beverage cart with coffee/tea, snacks; warewashing, garbage/laundry removal, sweeping, mopping
- Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must demonstrate proper food preparation and presentation for a variety of cultural preferences.
- Must be knowledgeable about the Long-Term Care Act
- Must be knowledgeable of special, therapeutic, and texture modified diets
- Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift.
- Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely.
- Must be an effective team player that works well with others.
- Must be able to work and communicate effectively with long-term care residents.

Shifts variety of 630am-230pm or 330pm-800pm (2-3 per week)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 22.5-30 per week

**Salary**: From $17.34 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All persons entering the facility must be Rapid Antigen tested and show proof of vaccination. All required Personal Protective Equipment is supplied by the home.
Frequent sanitation of all high touch areas performed regularly throughout the day.

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Public Health Food Handler Certificate (required)
- Food Service Worker Certificate or willing to enroll (required)
