Lift Operations Shift Lead

**Your Opportunity**:
The primary responsibilities of this role include:

- Ensure that the approved operating procedures are followed in accordance with the Lift Operations manual and passenger ropeways regulations
- Check guest tickets for validity and visibility
- Assist with staff rotations and administering breaks/lunches
- Support with staff training and ongoing development
- Complete daily lift/shift logs, training logs, incident and safety reports promptly and accurately
- Actively participate in snow maintenance and general cleanliness, ensuring it is complete for all components of the lifts and surrounding areas (clear of snow, ice, garbage, etc.)
- Maintain loading and unloading areas, signage and corrals to approved standards
- Assist with making changes to the schedule when required
- Physical duties include shoveling snow and lifting heavy objects
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals such as Covid-19 PPE protocols.
- Other duties as assigned

**Your Qualifications**:

- Professional, energetic, dependable and love of working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in and adapt to the daily challenges associated with a fast-paced environment
- Previous customer service, lift operations, and skiing and/or snowboarding experience is an asset
- Previous experience with and working knowledge of lift operation standards, safety policies, and emergency procedures is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service and safety
- Ability to handle difficult situations while remaining calm under pressure
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule is an asset (evenings, weekends and holidays)
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
