Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver engaging educational and recreational programming for youth ages 14-24
- Work with a diverse population and build positive development and supportive relationships with youth
- Create a welcoming environment for youth that encourages daily participation, belonging, expression, and wellbeing
- Follow appropriate program models and mandates (academic success, stepping stones, youth preemployment, positive youth mental health, youth leadership)
- Demonstrate use of positive behaviour guidance
- Ensure program health and safety protocols are followed
- Support operations of the BGC Youth Centre
- Participate in professional development opportunities and team meetings
- A commitment to the Clubs mission, Vision and Core Values, as well as a commitment to innovation, inclusion, excellence and evidence-based practice
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, approachability and an understanding of others
- Enrollment in or completion of Post-Secondary Studies in thd areas of Education, Child & Youth, Social Work, Recreation Therapy, Community Studies
- Experience working with youth and teens age 14-24 in a recreational, residential treatment, or education setting is preferred
- Safe Food Handlers
- High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development is an asset
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid First Aid/CPR-Level C (Red Cross preferred)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour
