Maple Shade Farm is a family run tie stall dairy in North Gower, Ont.

We are currently looking for a part time with the option of full time hired hand for an afternoon shift of 1pm-6pm (Monday to Friday). Must be willing to work 1 weekend a month. Fulltime/extra hours possible for morning milking shift of 4am-7am.

Duties would include:
Milking (60 Jerseys)

Scrapping and bedding stalls

Feeding and caring for calves

Monitoring and treating animal health

Preventative maintenance

General barn/equipment cleaning

Yard maintenance

Assisting hoof trimmer/vet

Other miscellaneous farm related duties

Qualifications/Expectations: Must be reliable, punctual, respectful, honest and hardworking.

This job is physically demanding and at times requires lifting up to 50lbs.

Experience on a dairy farm is an asset, but not required.

Must have reliable transportation to the farm

Wages will be based on experience $18-25/hr paid bi weekly, plus vacation pay

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

- North Gower, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
