Also, Compass One’s exclusive partnership with Press Ganey leverages rich analytics to better understand how to improve experiences for patients, family, customers, caregivers, and the community. **Job Summary**: **How you will make an impact**: You will be responsible for cleaning all facility floors to promote environmental safety and patient satisfaction. **As a Floor Technician, you will**: - Clean patient rooms as required, clean beds with approved disinfectant - Collect soiled linen; dust and/or mop floors, and/or vacuum floors as assigned; buff or extract carpet; strip and wax floors as scheduled; clean and maintain entrances as assigned - Wash walls, clean bathroom fixtures, collect bio - hazardous trash, and perform high dusting, using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants as required, clean and maintain equipment - Vacuum/clean patient care areas, public areas and offices as assigned - Respond to emergency cleanups as required - Maintain a safe environment at all times (e.g. use of wet floor signs.) - Perform duties according to health and safety guidelines - Report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately **About you**: - Previous housekeeping/custodian experience is an asset - Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills - Able to work independently and as part of a team - Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills - Previous experience using floor equipment is an asset - Physical ability to perform the job duties
