We have a great opportunity for a
**Relationship Manager **to join our team. This role is responsible for planning the live production needs for broilers and turkeys. This position will work collaboratively with growers (poultry farms) to set production levels to meet the needs of the business within the allocations set by marketing boards. They are responsible for planning and implementing best practices and procedures, while following all company policies and procedures. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with chicken and turkey growers and to promote Sunrise Farms within the grower communities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with our growers to efficiently manage farm issues, including pricing, delivery, damage, mortality, and other issues as they arise
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with our growers and producers, establishing trust and maintaining strong, open lines of communication
- Establish and manage vendor relationships, collaborating with internal stakeholders to investigate and evaluate potential alternatives for meeting business goals
- Coordinate and participate in the negotiation of new contracts
- Stay current and provide information on trends and practices in the industry, including understanding future potential needs and solutions
- Manage the scheduling of live production for processing plants and hatcheries
- Ensure farm safety procedures are followed
- Maintain quality control and production records

**Requirements**:

- Previous agricultural / poultry industry experience is an asset
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain strong, trusting relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- High levels of integrity and diplomacy
- Proactive self-starter who delivers results while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Excellent analytical & organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
