Early Childhood Educator

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting respect and cooperation among students.
- Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with diverse needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.

- Strong time management skills to effectively plan lessons and manage classroom activities.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Organizational skills to maintain a structured classroom environment.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, particularly in French or other languages, to support diverse learners.
- Knowledge of special education practices is beneficial for accommodating all students’ needs.
- Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes (computerise) is advantageous.
- A solid foundation in early childhood education principles is required.

Pay: $16.57-$27.61 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
