Portland Transfer Station Attendant/back Up Waste

The Township of Rideau Lakes is seeking to hire a team-oriented individual to fill the position for a contract Portland Transfer Station Attendant/Back Up Waste Driver.

Portland Transfer Station Attendant/Back Up Waste Driver will be responsible for site supervision at the Portland Transfer Station, as well as performing maintenance and upgrades to the site. This position will also serve as a primary back-up for Waste Drivers and other maintenance activities around the Township’s facilities. The regular working hours for this position are Tuesday-Saturday, 7:30 AM - 4:00PM, although hours may vary.

Education/Experience/Skills Training for Portland Transfer Station Attendant / Back Up Waste Driver:

- Experience in property/facility/grounds maintenance
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Experience with municipal waste collection is an asset
- Valid DZ license or be in the process of obtaining a DZ license is an asset
- Other licenses and training are an asset
- Customer Service skills/training are an asset

The Salary for this position is $47,836 - $56,278 annually.
