Fabrication Draftsperson

**Job description**

Our client is currently looking for a Junior to Intermediate Designer/Draftsperson to join our team. Working closely with our project manager, quality control staff and the manufacturing staff, the Draftsperson will perform duties related to designing and manufacturing various oil & gas production equipment. Design of pressure vessels, process piping, structural skids, and assemblies. Producing complete construction drawings with all necessary details and bill of materials, creating fabrication drawings of various steel structures, producing P&IDs, and other responsibilities as requested. Projects include conventional oil & gas processing equipment.

You will bring a high level of self-motivation, willingness to learn, collaboration, and initiative in your work to meet the needs of clients. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who can also work independently with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and who works well in an entrepreneurial environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create drawings using AutoCAD; AutoCAD Plant3D modeling software is an asset
- Produce P&ID’s
- Design of pressure vessels, and piping systems
- Producing drawings of structural skids, piping supports, and other related items
- Work with manufacturing personnel to create DXF files for CNC equipment
- Equipment Layouts for proposals
- Review of vendor documentation
- Perform design work in coordination with other project disciplines
- Modify and revise construction drawings including “As Built” as required
- Other drafting support and assistance as required

**Education/training**:
Design/drafting diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution, or other equivalent technical education or training

**Experience**:

- Experience with Process equipment and vessel fabrication
- Knowledge of oil and gas production projects is preferred; Previous drafting experience in Oil & gas sector is an asset
- Background knowledge of ASME, ANSI, B-31.3 codes is an asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills; Self-motivated and detail-oriented

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
