Network Analyst

We are looking for a **Network Analyst**for a **12-month contract position, with possible extensions** in **Vancouver, British Columbia.** **Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.**
**Position is available as 7.25 hours a day, 36.25 hours a week. This is a on-site position.**
**Role Description**
**Responsibilities**
- Provide work direction, guidance and instruction to Network Techs and Network Analysts, in the review, assessment and recommendations for changes to network infrastructure required to address business and technical requirements.
- Assist with the planning, scheduling and implementation of changes to the network infrastructure required to address business and technical requirements.
- Provide consulting expertise to Project Managers, Business Analysts and network clients regarding the network infrastructure requirements of projects that require access to network services.
- Provide options and preferred solutions for network equipment, configuration, and related services to meet business requirements
- Develops required project related documentation, such as detailed requirements specifications, evaluation criteria, proposed budgets, implementation plans, communication plans, logical and physical network diagrams, status updates and other project related documentation.
- Acts as a senior consultative resource and point of escalation for Network Techs, Network Analysts and other IM/IT technical staff.
- Provides tier-3 operational support of the network infrastructure
- Monitors and tracks the day-to-day operations of network services using vendor and in-house developed utilities.
- Advise Manager of network issues affecting the utilization, performance or functionality of the network and any issues with a potential financial impact.
- Investigates network related Incidents and problems through the use of various hardware and software tools and utilities.
- Creates network documentation required for support of operational processes and procedures.
**Required Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in computer systems technology diploma program or similar
- 3 years of experience as a network analyst or similar
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Able to provide direction and mentorship
- Ability to organize work (such as working independently and setting priorities for self and others).
