**Job Summary**:
We are looking for you, a hardworking and reliable Roofing Helper to help our roofing team on various residential and commercial projects. You will provide support to roofers by preparing materials, cleaning up work areas, and performing basic installation tasks. This entry-level position offers you an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in roofing with room for growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Material Handling**: Load and unload roofing materials and ensure all necessary supplies are available for each job.
- **Site Preparation**: Set up ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment for roofers.
- **Basic Roofing Tasks**: Assist in installing roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, and flashing under the direction of the lead roofer.
- **Cleanup**: Maintain a clean and safe worksite by removing debris, sweeping, and organizing tools and equipment.
- **Support Roofers**: Hold materials, pass tools, and assist with measurements and cuts as needed.
- **Safety Adherence**: Follow all WCB safety guidelines, wear appropriate safety gear, and assist in creating a safe working environment.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience in construction or roofing is a plus but not required, will train you
- **Physical Ability**: Must be able to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- **Reliability**: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
- **Team Player**: Able to take direction and work collaboratively with others.
- **Driver’s License**: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred, but not necessary.

**Pay**
- $21-$23 an hour

**Shift and schedule**
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday (Saturdays available too)

**Ability to commute/relocate**:

- Lower Mainland, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Licence/Certification**:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Roofing: We will train you

**Education**:

- Able to write and speak English well
