**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The Kitchen Helper plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the food industry while contributing to a dynamic restaurant environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace by washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste properly.
- Support cooks during meal preparation by providing assistance as needed.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure all food handling meets health regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to kitchen management.
- Participate in maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils in good working order.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
**Skills**
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Previous experience in the food service industry is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as needed.
