Quality Specialist

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Works under minimum direction from the Quality Engineering / Manager.
- Participate in ECO/ECR/ECN, and DN review.
- Facilitate Calibration Activities for all Test Equipment and measuring devices.
- Responsible for performing verification on the equipment.
- Process ownership for NCMR, Purge/Quarantine, Deviation.
- KPI Reporting related with Quality.
- RMA processing and reports.
- Supplier Quality Management, Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
- Coordinate Corrective Action Request / Preventive Action Request (CAR / PAR).
- Data collection / analysis, create monthly quality analysis repor.t
- Product audit as per customer / engineering requirement.
- Process audit as per ISO requirement.
- Maintains IPC-A 610 Certification and effectively trains production personnel in the standard requirements.
- Obtain and maintain IPC CIS certificate.
- Obtain and maintain IPC CIS certificate of IPC-A-610.
- Obtained IATF Internal Auditing Certificate.
- Performs other work tasks as assigned by the Quality Engineering / Manager or as required by the business.
- Works safely avoiding lost time injuries.
- Exhibits a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Conduct and promote work in a safe and responsible manner and report any safety concerns to the supervisor, department manager or a member of the Environmental Health & Safety Committee.
- Wear appropriate PPE and operate electric or manual equipment in a safe manner in accordance with standards and procedures.
- Upholds 5S standard for continuous improvement.
- Follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safe handling practice.
- Interact with production, quality and maintenance employees to exchange technical information to facilitate teamwork in trouble shooting and repair process.
- Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it affects quality and the environment for our customers.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision as well as in a team environment.
- Works within company guidelines including but not limited to what is outlined in the Employee Handbook. Must adhere to company specified schedule.
- Maintain work area and physical plant in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
- Perform other duties as required.
Core Competencies:
- Strong working knowledge of IPC-A-610, RoHD, REACH, ESD, ISO-9001, ISO-13485.
- Skills in SPC, 6-Sigma, lean manufacturing, 5S, 8D and problem solving.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong office software skills.
- Team player that works well with all levels of the organization.
- Responsible, professional, effective leader and organizer.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years’ expereince in the Quality Field of Electronics Manufacturing.
- Hands on experience with SMT, PTH, soldering, inspection and test.
- Experience on hand soldering, rework and repair as per IPC-7711/IPC-7721.
- Experience on MRB/NCMR process.
- Diploma or degree in Electronics engineeing or equivalent.
