**JOB OVERVIEW**:
Reporting to the Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager, the Logistics and Customs Compliance Co-op Student is responsible for working with both the Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager and the Logistics and Customs Compliance Specialist providing essential support for HPS North American locations to ensure compliance with HPS’s logistics and Customs Policies and procedures. This position provides supply chain tasks/project support, assisting in the daily preparation of legally binding international export/import documentation and actively participating in various logistics and customs-related compliance tasks.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide support/verification for various customs brokers and stakeholders' inquiries.
- Provide coordination support to the RMA coordinators on return shipments.
- Set up & maintain standard record-keeping practices for Freight/Logistics related documents.
- Assists Carriers/Sales with delivery/paperwork exceptions/delays; escalates to manager as required.
- Prepare International and domestic Shipment Paperwork & ensure compliance with the requirements of the originating and destination countries to avoid penalties, fines etc. (i.e. CERS, Chamber of Commerce, Free Trade Agreements)
- Stays aware of logistics/customs/trade compliance globally.
- Provides operational support to the Logistics & Customs Compliance team for Customs Inquiries/Audits.
- Take up other Logistics duties as per the manager's instructions.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Ongoing college or university degree, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management
- Knowledge of International & Domestic Shipping, Transportation and Customs processes and regulations
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, Visio, BI, PowerPoint)
- Problem-solving, judgment and dynamic decision-making skills
- Strong analytical, multitasking and organizational skills
