**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, assemble, and maintain transit shelters, including metal frames, glass panels, and roofing materials.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare installation areas by ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and stability of shelter structures.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery (such as cranes or forklifts) to move materials and assemble shelters.
- Follow blueprints, instructions, and safety protocols during installation processes.
- Work closely with other crew members, project managers, and engineers to ensure timely and efficient shelter installations.
- Inspect completed work for quality, structural integrity, and compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with environmental guidelines, safety standards, and company policies.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to supervisors and communicate any challenges encountered during installations.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on existing shelters when required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certifications or relevant vocational training a plus.
- Previous experience in construction, installation, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hand and power tools, as well as basic construction techniques.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with good communication skills.
- Overnight travel and spend nights outside the lower mainland is a requirement.
- OSHA certification or similar safety training is a plus.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry glass and other heavy objexts.
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and walking.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
