Piano, Violin and Cello Instructor

**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Develop and implement comprehensive music curricula that align with educational standards.
- Educate students on various musical instruments (piano, violin, cello, flute), music theory, and vocal techniques.
- Provide tutoring and individualized instruction to support student learning and growth.
- Organize classroom activities, including performances, recitals, and group projects.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters creativity and self-expression.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate music into broader educational initiatives.
- Participate in recitals (3 per season), Group Lesson week and Educator Meetings (2 per season).

**Skills**
- Strong ability to educate and inspire students in music appreciation and performance.
- Experience working with children and adults in an educational capacity.
- Must be able to read music and be proficient in music theory. We do not teach from youtube, tabs, or a variety of photocopied sheets. We are a curriculum based facility.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus.
- Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create a structured yet flexible classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning space.
- Familiarity with the Royal Conservatory of Music or Conservatory Canada is a plus.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $31.20-$41.92 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 20 per week
