**Position Responsibilities**
- Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) is seeking a Sessional instructor in the Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) program. As an instructor you will draw upon your experience in early childhood education and a variety of resources to teach both certificate and diploma
- level courses. This work will occur on RDP’s main campus and in an online environment. Instructional times are dependent on assigned workload.-

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline
- A minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience working in a variety of early childhood program environments for children (birth to age 8), such as day care, preschool, or school-age care
- Experience teaching adult learners
- Demonstrated awareness/knowledge of the document: “Flight: Alberta’s Early Learning Framework”

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Combination of:
- Graduate degree in a related field
- Post-Secondary teaching experience
- Experience teaching in an online environment
- Familiarity using Blackboard as a Learning Management System
- Experience teaching adult English language learners
